Route 17/Exit 131 Construction project

August 7, 2018 UPDATES

The Route 17 westbound entrance ramp from Route 32 southbound is scheduled to be relocated on Monday, August 13. The new ramp will be located south of the Park-and-Ride entrance. Additional signage will direct travelers though the new traffic pattern. Please note that the existing ramp near Nininger Road will no longer be in use. 

June 22, 2018 UPDATES

ROUTE 17 – Eastbound traffic on Route 17 will be temporarily shifted in to the paved median to create a safe and unobstructed work zone. Starting June 28th, the left lane of Route 17 will become a dedicated through lane from Exit 130 eastbound to the NYS Thruway toll booths. Local traffic should use the right lane as exits will not be permitted from the left lane. The new traffic pattern will be striped and clearly marked with road signs. Please be attentive of increased construction activities near the new Route 32 bridge.

June 14, 2018 UPDATES

ROUTE 32 – Work in front of Central Valley Elementary School and on the Route 32 over Nininger Road bridge will continue over the coming months. Please proceed though this area with care and observe the posted speed limits as there will be multiple construction activities occurring simultaneously.
