High School PTA

Welcome!

The HS PTA would like to welcome all new and returning students, families and staff. The goal of the PTA is to support all students and parents. The PTA can only achieve our goals with your help!  Please join the PTA and become a member. The cost is $10 and the Membership Form can be returned (dropped off or mailed) to the HS Main Office or:

Here are some important fall PTA events:

There will be a PTA Membership table at Open House on September 27 as well as during the College Fair on October 5.

Our school year will start off by welcoming back all Faculty and Staff on September 8.  The PTA will provide breakfast treats.

September 15 is Go Gold For Pediatric Cancer Awareness. Our HS students and staff are encouraged to wear gold!

Picture days for Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors will be September 14 and 15.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact PTA at krlmonroe@gmail.com for more information.

The first PTA Meeting is October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the HS in Room 130. Come to learn what we have planned for the school year! All 2017-2018 PTA meeting dates are listed below.

The BLC (Building Leadership Committee) will also be meeting on October 17 at 2:15 p.m. at the HS.  This is a great venue to share your thoughts, ideas and concerns.

Let’s work together to make 2017-2018 a successful year for all our students.

Our Mission and Our Goals:

Monroe-Woodbury High School PTA is proud to be an active part of our National PTA, the oldest and largest volunteer organization in the United States that works exclusively on behalf of our youth. In striving to fulfill the mission of the PTA we:

  • Support and speak on behalf of youth.
  • Encourage parent and public involvement with the issues facing our youth today, both in and out of school.
  • Work to strengthen the relationship between home and school so that parents and teachers may collaboratively educate our youth.
  • Develop between educators and the general public unified efforts that will secure for all our youth, the highest advantages in public education.

Our goals for the school year are to:

  • Increase student involvement
  • Strengthen parent and teacher participation
  • Provide information on current topics through parent education programs
  • Build a sense of community within our school
