The Business Education Program is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop needed skills and competencies in four major areas: General Business, Information Processing, Finance, and Marketing. A wide variety of course offerings gives students an opportunity to acquire marketable interpersonal and consumer survival skills needed in our changing technological business society.
The objective of Business Education is to serve students in the following areas:
- occupational business programs;
- academic programs;
- development of personal-use skills.
Most occupational pursuits require computer use. The ability to "keyboard" is a vital skill needed by all students as an ever-increasing number of college majors requires students to purchase/provide computers. Therefore, we strongly encourage students to have basic keyboarding/computer skills as soon as possible in their high school careers and most definitely before they graduate from high school. The selection of the Keyboarding Applications course will accomplish this objective.
