District Health Plan Information

As of January 1, 2006 these are the new dental and vision plans.  Please see the related files, 2006 Dental Plan and 2006 Vision Plan, on the bottom of this page for more information.

For Members of the Orange-Ulster School Districts Health Plan

Any current or retired employee can access the internet sites listed below for medical, dental or vision coverage information,  find the desired data/references, and either write down the information or print out the appropriate page. This can be done from the home or from the work place, at any time. If you do not have internet access, there is an "800" telephone number listed on your membership card.

    You can check to see if your doctor or local hospital participates in the BC/BS Network by checking the National BC/BS Association Website above then:

    • Click on "Find a Doctor or Hospital" in the 'How Can Blue Help You?' box located in the upper right corner of the Homepage
    • Click on the "Guest" tab (lower left)
    • Select the "PPO/EPO" circle then click on "Find Providers"
    • On the next page, choose either the 'Physicians', 'Hospitals' or 'All Types' tab, then indicate your doctor's name and location or select a specialty category and click "Next"
    • You may enter either your provider's or hospital's name, OR type in City & State or Zip
    • On the next page, complete any requested information and click "Get Your Results"
