Butterfly Review

Review the butterfly life cycle and what the butterfly looks like in each stage.

Review the butterfly vocabulary.

Be familiar with the parts of the larva and of the adult butterfly.

Know that the probiscus is a feeding tube and butterflies use their antennae to smell. They communicate most often by releasing a chemical odor.

Butterflies use camouflage to protect themselves.

All animals have life spans but they are different lengths.

Moths are similar to butterflies. They are different in a few ways. Some of the differences are that moths are active at night, have feathery antennae and are usually less colorful than butterflies.
