Welcome to the Central Valley orchestra program! Congratulations to the Central Valley 5th Grade Orchestra and Band for both receiving a Gold rating at the NYSSMA Majors festival this week! Your hard work has paid off! Remember that our 5th grade spring concert is Tuesday, May 22nd at 7:00 pm in the CV auditorium. Orchestra Students should report to the orchestra room at 6:00 pm. Please also remember to bring your instrument to school on Tuesday for our dress rehearsal. -Ms. George
To 4th graders: I am excited for you to begin the exciting new process of learning an instrument! If you practice hard you will begin to see results soon. Before you know it you will be playing familiar tunes for your friends and family to enjoy. Don't give up even if it seems difficult at first. It will be worth it to be able to play your new instrument with confidence. To 5th graders: Welcome back! We have lots of great music to play this year. In addition to our spring concert, we also have a winter concert on December 15th! 5th grade presents other opportunities such as NYSSMA solo festival, NYSSMA majors festival, All-County orchestra and awards orchestra. We will talk about all of these exciting events during lessons this year.
