MS to pivot to fully remote instruction for Friday, Nov. 19

on November 19, 2020

Message from Superintendent letterheadNovember 19, 2020

Dear Monroe-Woodbury Middle School families,

The school district learned late this afternoon of a COVID positive student (B Cohort) at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School. Contact tracing is currently underway and students and staff who may be at risk of exposure will be contacted within the next 24 hours.

A multitude of staff and students will be required to quarantine as a result of this case. To allow for continuity of instruction, the Middle School will revert to fully remote instruction for tomorrow, Friday, November 20. We will reassess the situation and share more details regarding next week’s student schedule by Monday, November 23.

Your building administrator will follow up shortly with more information. If you have not heard from the school district by tomorrow afternoon, you may assume your child is not at risk of exposure.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

Warm regards,
Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
