We have received several calls and emails from parents and students regarding a disturbing post on SnapChat that is being shared widely among students. The post is a perceived threat to “the school,” but does not name a school district. It has been circulating among students and has been posted on several social media platforms.
The school district notified local and state authorities and they have deemed the threat non-credible.
Each perceived threat made to our schools, even those not directly naming our district, are taken very seriously. As a precautionary measure, there will be an increased police presence in the district.
