Strategic Plan survey distribution

NOTE: The following communication will arrive in Monroe-Woodbury residents' mailboxes during the first week in February.

The Monroe-Woodbury Central School District is continuing its meaningful work on the multi-year strategic plan. As we embark on the fourth year of this process, we are thankful for the members of our school community, including parents, students, teachers, administrators, support staff, business and government leaders as well as residents who have lent their expertise, insights and ideas.

This work, which supports the vision and mission adopted by our Board of Education, helps the district remain focused and strong in even the most unpredictable of times.

You may recall that we asked members of the school community to complete the first strategic plan survey in 2018, and then a second one in 2020. With more than 6,000 responses to the initial survey, we identified four focus areas: Curriculum & Instruction; Social Emotional Wellness; Student Engagement; and Communications. Task forces have worked diligently to conduct research, update existing plans and implement new programs as a result of your responses.

We are once again requesting 10-15 minutes of time for district residents and M-W staff members to complete a third, identical anonymous survey. Your opinions matter to us and will help define our next steps in the district’s strategic planning process.

We recognize that the world has been turned upside down in recent years and that the long-term pandemic has impacted many of our community members. We want to ensure that the work we do as a result of this process continues to meet the needs of our school community. Strategic planning efforts will be updated based on your survey responses.

Participating in the anonymous survey is easy! Please click on the link below to access the appropriate survey. If you currently have children attending M-W schools, please complete the Family Engagement survey. If you are a resident of Monroe-Woodbury, but do not currently have children attending M-W schools, please complete the Community Engagement survey.
