Student BOE representative wanted graphic

The Monroe-Woodbury Central School District Board of Education is seeking a member of the MWHS Class of 2023 to serve as student representative on the Board of Education. 

The student member of the Board of Education will serve as the voice of the students by providing brief reports sharing issues of importance to the student body at Board of Education meetings.

Candidates must have strong communication skills and will work collaboratively with district and building administrators to meet with students from all buildings; identify areas of interest and concern among the student body; and present findings and recommendations to the Board of Education. 

Eligible students must:

1. Be a senior at Monroe-Woodbury High School during the 2022-2023 school year;

2. Attend board meetings (with exceptions for illness or advance notice of conflicts);

3. Be prepared to make a brief student report at BOE meetings, specifically addressing topics of importance resulting from meetings with principals and students at each M-W school. 

Interested students are asked to fill out an online application and email a resume to [email protected] by March 31, 2022. Applications will not be accepted until a resume is submitted. Applicants will participate in an interview process conducted by members of the M-W Board of Education.
