Pine Tree Patriot Club members greet veterans at Stewart Airport

Members of Pine Tree's Patriot Club traveled to Stewart Airport in New Windsor on Saturday, April 9, to cheer on 81 veterans who traveled as part of the Honor Flight Mission #25.  The Pine Tree Patriot Club consists of students impacted by deployment and students who are committed to supporting our military families and veterans. Members meet not only to share experiences with each other, but also to receive support from the school and other resources.

The mission of Honor Flight is to celebrate America’s veterans by inviting them to share in a day of honor at  our nation's memorials. The Honor Flight Network is a national network of independent Hubs working together to honor our nation’s veterans with an all-expenses paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take.  Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the chance to share this momentous trip with other veterans, to remember friends and comrades lost, and share their stories and experiences with each other.

Thank you for your service!
