Board of Education Special Meeting and Public Budget Hearing – May 27, 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 27, the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education will hold the Public Budget Hearing on the district’s YouTube channel beginning at 6 p.m. The live stream of the meeting will be available using a link that will be posted on the website at 5:45 p.m. on May 27. Public Comments for meetings

Please note that Public Comments may be submitted via the 2020 Public Comment form for BOE Meeting until 30 minutes before the start of each meeting. Submitted comments will be read by the District Clerk. The criteria for online comments are the same as an in person meeting.

Public Comment Guidelines, per BOE policy, are as follows:

  • Public comments should be related to agenda items.
  • Under normal circumstances, speakers would be allotted three minutes per comment. This equates to approximately 450 words in writing.
  • The total public comment period is limited to 30 minutes.
  • Please limit comments to one representative per organization or group.
  • Although the Board of Education welcomes comments about programs offered by the District and the efforts of its staff, the discussion of matters relating to specific individuals is expressly prohibited.
  • Please be aware that Board members and the Superintendent typically do not respond to statements at the Board meeting. Responses to questions or concerns are provided at the subsequent Board meeting.
  • To allow time to prepare comments, this form must be submitted no later than 30 minutes before the Board Meeting.

2020 Public Comment for Board of Education Meeting

The Annual Budget vote and Board of Education election will be held on Tuesday, June 9 via mail-in ballot only. The district will hold a budget-related Crusader Chat on the district’s YouTube channel on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m. Residents are asked to please send questions in advance via email to [email protected] or call 845-460-6200, ext. 6262 and leave a message. The questions and and answers will be posted to the district website.
