BOE seeks student representative for 2020-2021 school year

The Monroe-Woodbury Central School District Board of Education is seeking a M-W High School member of the Class of 2021 to serve as student representative on the Board of Education. The student will serve on the Board of Education as an ex officio, non voting member, in accordance with the provisions of Section 1702 of the Education Law, as approved by public vote in May 2016.

The student member of the Board of Education will serve as the voice of the students by providing brief reports sharing issues of importance to the student body.

Eligible students must:

1. Be a senior at Monroe-Woodbury High School during the 2020-21 school year;

2. Attend board meetings (with exceptions for illness or advance notice of conflicts);

3. Be prepared to make a brief student report at some BOE meetings.
