Classes resume after brief evacuation due to fire alarm

on May 25, 2017

On Thursday, May 25 at approximately 12:55 p.m., Monroe-Woodbury Middle School students and staff were temporarily evacuated when a fire alarm sounded in the building. The Woodbury Fire Department arrived within minutes and determined a faulty smoke head located outside the gym had caused the alarm to activate. The building was deemed safe and cleared for reentry by fire officials, and students and staff returned to the building at 1:07 p.m.
