Why should students join? PTSA members are student leaders who are committed to improving their school.

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

Monroe-Woodbury goes gold to fight pediatric cancer.On Friday, September 27, Monroe-Woodbury will once again GO GOLD to help build awareness of pediatric cancer. The Monroe-Woodbury High School PTSA is coordinating a “GO GOLD” Group Order for t-shirts/sweatshirts. This is not a fundraiser; shirts are sold at cost. If there is any surplus, it will be donated to Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation. ORDER DEADLINE is September 5. 2019-2020 High School PTSA

The HS PTSA would like to welcome all new and returning students, families and staff. The goal of the PTSA is to support all students and parents. The PTSA can only achieve our goals with your help!  Please join the PTSA and become a member. The cost is $10. There are two ways to join:

  1. use the online Membership link
  2. download, print and submit the paper Membership Form and drop it off to the HS Main Office or mail it to:

2019-20 HS PTSA Meeting Schedule

All meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in High School Room 130 unless otherwise noted.

ALL parents and students are welcome. Guest speakers to be determined; suggestions are welcome. Please check the website for updates and meeting agendas.

Guest Speakers:

Dr. Eric Hassler, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction
Wayne Williams, High School Guidance Chair

Topics will include:

High School Program of Studies, degrees and academic and social support available to students.
John Kaste, High School Principal will also join us to share information about High School important dates, events and initiatives.

ADAC – Orange County’s Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council

Hidden Mischief

An interactive “Teen Bedroom” in which parents can search for and find many hidden drugs, paraphernalia items, and drug references with an informative presentation on specific items to look out for, and where they can be purchased, either online or right here in Orange County.

Medicine Cabinet
A discussion of the rapid progression from prescription drug abuse to heroin addiction and the often deadly consequences.

Our Mission and Our Goals:

Monroe-Woodbury High School PTSA is proud to be an active part of our National PTA, the oldest and largest volunteer organization in the United States that works exclusively on behalf of our youth. In striving to fulfill the mission of the PTA we:

  • Support and speak on behalf of youth.
  • Encourage parent and public involvement with the issues facing our youth today, both in and out of school.
  • Work to strengthen the relationship between home and school so that parents and teachers may collaboratively educate our youth.
  • Develop between educators and the general public unified efforts that will secure for all our youth, the highest advantages in public education.

Our goals for the school year are to:

  • Increase student involvement
  • Strengthen parent and teacher participation
  • Provide information on current topics through parent education programs
  • Build a sense of community within our school

Each year PTA proudly serves students and families by offering the following activities and programs:

  • Scholarships for graduating seniors (family or student must be a HS PTA member to be eligible)
  • National PTA Reflections Program
  • Red Ribbon Week
