Message from Superintendent letterhead

November 19, 2020

Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

The following positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Monroe-Woodbury schools today.

  • Smith Clove Elementary – one hybrid student (A Cohort) – contact tracing is not necessary.
  • Pine Tree Elementary – two remote students (C Cohort) – contact tracing is not necessary.
  • Monroe-Woodbury Middle School – one hybrid student (B Cohort) – contact tracing is underway for staff and students who may have been exposed while the student was in the building and should be completed within 24 hours. Due to the anticipated number of quarantined staff, the Middle School will pivot to fully remote instruction (no in-person attendance) for tomorrow, Friday, November 20.
  • Monroe-Woodbury High School – one teacher and one monitor – contact tracing is underway and will be completed this evening.

All students and staff who are at risk for exposure will be required to quarantine for 14 days, per CDC guidelines. If you do not receive notification from the district, you may assume your child is not at risk of exposure.

We will continue to keep families updated. Thank you.

Warm regards,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
