The cross country team presents their section IX championship plaque to Superintendent Rodriguez.

On Friday, November 2, the Girls Cross Country team claimed its 5th consecutive Section IX title. The girls were led by front runner, Jessica Pidgeon, who placed 3rd. It was a true team effort as the New York State 8th ranked Crusaders won with all five scoring girls finishing within 39 seconds of each other.

This is the 24th Section IX title in the 44 year history of Girls Cross Country at Monroe-Woodbury. Next Saturday, the team will compete in the New York State Championship meet in Sunken Meadow, Long Island. Great job and good luck at states!
