District employees make blankets for Project Linus. District employees make blankets for Project Linus. This year, members of the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District family created 405 blankets for Project Linus, a national organization whose mission is to bring comfort to children who have been ill, had surgery or have suffered some traumatic event in their young lives.

This project has been spearheaded for several years by bus attendant Sue Pratt. Transportation staff, drivers, attendants, and other district employees (organized by Tina Anastos), helped M-W far exceed our blanket goal!

The blankets will be distributed to local hospitals in Orange County and other agencies that support children. M-W applauds members of the our school community who have helped make a difference in the lives of children.
