Sitting from left: Narius Caesar-grade 9; Grace Gillette-Grade 2; Adrianna Napolitano-grade 3; and Evan Beers, grade 10. Standing from left: Dylan Beers-grade 9 and Pablo Quinones-grade 9.

Members of the Brothers In Deed group, a high school student-run organization focused on doing good deeds in the M-W community, created benches for all five elementary schools this year. Members of the group recently visited Pine Tree t0 present their “Buddy Bench” to the students. The bench will be painted using the winning designs of two high school students, which were elected from more than 100 art entries.

The brief assembly made an impact on Pine Tree students as the high schoolers role played the concept behind the development of the Buddy Bench: If students are feeling lonely, they are encouraged to sit on the bench. Other students, in turn, are encouraged to approach them and extend an invitation to join their classmates

Thank  you to the high school presenters for their outstanding presentation and meaningful gift to Pine Tree.
