Jamie Calub wins Grand Prize in county poster contest

on March 11, 2020

Every year, the Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) of Orange County sponsors a contest to design a poster to be used throughout Orange County to inspire a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. From the group of 1379 entries submitted this year, only four were awarded top prizes. Freshman Jamie Calub’s poster was awarded the Grand Prize during a surprise visit to her Earth Science class on Monday, March 9. Accompanied by high school principal John Kaste and art teacher Kat Gitto, MaryAlice Kovatch of ADAC announced the award and presented Jamie with a balloon bouquet to the cheers and applause of her classmates. She will receive a framed copy of her poster as well as a $200 cash prize at the ADAC Awards Banquet in May. Congratulations, Jamie!
