Kiley Kirkpatrick is Athlete of the Week

The Monroe-Woodbury Athletic Director, Lori Hock, would like to announce that Kiley Kirkpatrick, is the “Athlete of the Week” for the week ending February 15, 2019 for the Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Ski team coached by Ray Hodges.

The Monroe-Woodbury Varsity Ski Team is very proud to recognize Athlete of the Week Kiley Kirkpatrick. The Senior Captain has been a 4-year Varsity Ski team starter, and has now qualified for Section IX competition in all four of her racing seasons. She leads quietly by example both on and off the ski slopes. She was on the New York State Championship Girls Varsity Soccer Team and is a crucial member of the ski team that can always be counted on by both her teammates and coaches.

Kiley ranks in the top 10 racers in our division, and has recorded two top five finishes in GS (Giant Slalom) and Slalom competition this year. She will be making her fourth straight appearance in the Section IX Championships at Hunter Mountain on February 12th. There, she will attempt to qualify for the New York State Championship which will be held at Gore Mountain at the end of February.

A three-sport Varsity Scholar-Athlete, Kiley maintains a 97+ GPA and she is ranked in the top 30 of this year’s graduating class. While her major is still undecided, Kiley plans to attend and play soccer in the NCAA Liberty League for the Union College Dutchwomen in the fall of 2019.

We wish Kiley the best of luck in her final high school Alpine Skiing competitions, and all the best in her future academic and athletic endeavors!
