M-W boys medal at NYS outdoor track & field championships

The New York State Track and Field championships were held at Middletown High School on Friday, June 7 and Saturday, June 8. Fridays event’s crowned the NYSPHSAA champions; Saturdays events crowned the NYS Federation champion (including NYC, Catholic and private schools not in NYSPHSAA).

Congratulations to the Monroe-Woodbury boys who earned medals:

  • Richmond Boateng, 400 meter intermediate hurdles
    5th place NYSPHSAA  53.53
    2nd place NYS Federation  53.77
  • JP Incledon, Pentathlon,
    6th place NYSPHSAA  3040 points
  • 4X400 meter relay
    Neiko Welch, Tyler Sills, Dominic Longhitano and Richmond Boateng
    5th place NYSPHSAA  3:19.43 – season best
    5th place NYS Federation  3:20.74

    15th place NYSPHSAA
    17th place NYS Federation  9:51.52 – season best

“The meet consists of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) and an overall “Federation” championship of all categories of high schools – public, private, religious, and NYPSAL. Top finishers in each school category compete for the overall state Federation championship.
