M-W Future Business Leaders of America holds 45th annual induction ceremony

Members of the M-W Chapter of Future Business Leaders of AmericaThe Monroe-Woodbury chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) held its 45th annual induction ceremony in the Monroe-Woodbury High School auditorium on Thursday, January 9. Family, friends and faculty gathered as club members were inducted and chapter officers were installed. The ceremony was led by Presidents Kate Yoon and Omar Jainul, along with Executive Vice-President Kyle Nematz, who recited the FBLA creed, gave an overview of the club’s progress to date and officially welcomed the new members.

M-W High School Principal John Kaste shared a message of encouragement and congratulations to club members and Ty Vanderstappen, an FBLA alumni and current Manager of Attractions at the upcoming Legoland New York Resort, served as keynote speaker. Mr. Vanderstappen shared about his own journey, providing guidance and expertise to the FBLA members. He spoke to the students about potential jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities that are available for FBLA members at Legoland starting in July.

Members and their guests enjoyed a celebratory reception immediately following the ceremony. Congratulations to the new inductees!
