Everyone needs some extra love and comfort sometimes, especially children who are dealing with emergency situations. Monroe-Woodbury HS senior Sierra Schmidt conducted a stuffed animal drive, kicked off with a PJ Day at the high school, to encourage students, staff and families to donate blankets and gently used or new stuffed animals for children dealing with crises.
At the end of the week, Sierra had collected a huge pile of donations! We spoke with Sierra to learn more about the inspiration behind her kindness and generosity. Check it out!
