
Monroe-Woodbury High School Math B Team was named Dutchess Ulster Sullivan Orange (DUSO) Section A champion at the 2018 competition. Both of the Monroe-Woodbury B and A teams qualified for the final championship meet held at Vassar College on March 14. At this meet, the B team tied for 7th out of 20 teams.
Based on their individual scores, three Monroe Woodbury students – Victor Yang, Ethan Czerwinski, Brendan Fernandes – qualified to be part of a unified DUSO team, consisting of students from Arlington, Beacon, Cornwall, John Jay, Our Lady of Lourdes, New Paltz, Pawling, Poughkeepsie, Roy C. Ketcham, and Spackenkill. On March 17, they competed at SUNY Geneseo with students from the New York State regions. The DUSO A team was awarded second place in their division and also won the most improved team award.
