Happy Friday Crusaders!

We are wrapping up our second week of the school year and our third week will be a busy one! Please take a moment to review all of the updates listed below:

MWMS Open House

This year our Virtual Open House will be held on September 14th from 6:30 to 8:30. Parents will follow through their child’s day by logging into their students’ Google Classrooms. Please see the memo attached here for details.

Picture Days

Tuesday, September 14th and Wednesday, September 15th are our scheduled School Picture Days for MWMS. Students’ pictures will be taken during their science class.

Early Dismissal Drill

At the start of each school year, Orange County conducts an emergency early dismissal drill. This year the drill will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and students will go home 15 minutes early. Parents and guardians should be prepared for students to arrive home 15 minutes earlier than usual.

School Closing

School is closed on Thursday September 16th for the observance of Yom Kippur.

We hope that you all have a wonderful weekend. Take a moment to reflect on the sacrifice and service that so many have provided our country and community in the 20 years since the 9/11 attacks. Our community and region were devastatingly impacted by the events that unfolded that day and we continue to feel those impacts even to this day. Families, take the time to talk to your children about what happened that day and keep the memory of all of those who selflessly served and made the ultimate sacrifice alive. Stay safe and be well!

Take care,

Michael Maesano
