Happy Friday Crusaders!

Thank you all for a successful Open House Night! We were happy and proud to virtually host everyone. Please see the important notes below:

Tik Tok Trend

As you might already be aware, there is a Tik Tok trend that has students across the country vandalizing and stealing school property. We have had several instances of destruction in the building and ask that you speak with your child about the seriousness of this inappropriate behavior. Any student who is found to be destroying or stealing school property will receive consequences as outlined in our Code of Conduct, including restitution and possible referral to law enforcement.

Lockers

This past Wednesday a Google Form went out to all students allowing them to request a locker for use this school year. Students should expect to receive an email notification of their locker assignment sometime next week.

MWMS REC Activity

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the previously scheduled September REC activity. We are planning to hold our first REC of the year on October 29th. As we get closer to the event more information about specifics of this Halloween REC will be sent home.

Go Gold

In an effort to help raise awareness for Pediatric Cancer, Monroe Woodbury Middle School will Go Gold on September 24th. Students and staff are invited to show support by wearing gold to school on that day.

STAR Assessments

The STAR Reading Assessment will be administered during ELA classes on Monday, September 20th. The STAR Math Assessment will be administered in Math classes on the following Monday, September 27th. Please make every effort to have your student be present on these assessment days.

Picture Days

We had two very successful picture days this past week and saw lots of smiles! If your student will need a make-up photo shoot, mark your calendar as December 1st will be our picture make-up day. More information will come as the date approaches.

Thank you,

Michael Maesano
