November 3, 2020

Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

The Orange County Health Department has confirmed a COVID positive student (A Cohort) at Monroe-Woodbury Middle School.

As a result of last week’s confirmed middle school case and this subsequent case, approximately 20 MWMS staff members will be quarantined as of today. To allow for continuity of instruction, the middle school will remain fully remote for the remainder of the week, through Friday, November 6.

Contact tracing for today’s confirmed case is complete. Anyone who was exposed to the individual will be mandated to quarantine for 14 days from the last exposure date. Please be reminded that the Orange County Health Department determines who needs to quarantine based on the circumstances surrounding a positive case.

I recognize that these continual changes create additional stress for some families. We will continue to do our best to keep you updated as information becomes available from the health department.

Sincerely,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
