Good Evening MWMS Families,

We are so excited to finally move to five days a week of in person learning! This transition will have an impact on all students, whether remote (cohort C) or in person (cohort D). Moving forward there will be no cohort A or B. You should have received an email to confirm your child’s cohort earlier today. Please read through the information below and let us know if you have any questions.

Rotating Day Schedule (Monday, May 3rd):

Due to us moving to a five days a week, we will no longer rotate our letter day schedule on a weekly basis. We will now be rotating our schedule on a daily basis in order to provide students more consistent time with all of their teachers. This Monday we will be a “D” day in our daily rotation for ALL students. Tuesday will be an “A” day, Wednesday will be a “B” day, Thursday will be a “C” day, and Friday will be another “D” day in our daily rotation. If you have any questions regarding your schedule, please contact your school counselor.

Please be sure to check the parent portal for information regarding bus stop times and locations. In the morning, the student arrival/drop off procedure will remain the same. In order to accommodate the increased number of vehicles, there will be a change to afternoon student pick up. In the afternoon, all cars must enter through the high school main entrance. The middle school lot will be closed to parent vehicles. Pick up will occur at 3:15 PM, after the buses leave MWMS. Do not arrive prior to 3:00 PM to line up. Cars will be staged at the high school and will be required to follow the flow of traffic according to the map you can find here. We appreciate your cooperation as we work to safely accommodate everyone’s transportation needs.

With our increase in students physically attending school, we have had to make some changes to our lunchroom protocols and procedures. Students will now have the choice of eating indoors or outdoors while maintaining social distancing. On days of inclement weather, students will also be able to utilize the Gym for additional seating.

Update-State Testing Information:

The NYS Math Assessment will be administered to our students on Tuesday, May 11th. Testing information will be sent out to all of our families on Monday.

Sidewalk Chalk Event:

Crusader Council is holding a Sidewalk Chalk event on Tuesday, May 18th. In click here for information and to RSVP.

Has your child changed their password recently? We have had issues reported to us about compromised student accounts. Please make sure your child has changed their password and shared it with you (nobody else)! For more information on changing passwords, please click here.

Enjoy the weekend, Crusaders!

Take care,

Michael Maesano
