National School Counseling Week – Feb. 5-9

on January 30, 2018

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), will be held from Feb. 5–9, 2018, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within U.S. school systems and how students are different as a result of what school counselors do. National School Counseling Week highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

“Our counselors play a very important role in the school district by touching the lives of many children,” said Monroe-Woodbury Superintendent of Schools Elsie Rodriguez. “They are there for our younger students to lend a listening ear. They are there for our high school students who are making life decisions related to college and career. They are integral to what we do here and we are grateful for their compassion, guidance and care.”

Thank you, M-W school counselors!
