Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the death of one of our high school students last night. While information is not yet readily available, we want to make you aware in case your child comes home with questions or concerns.

The school district has a support team of psychologists, counselors and pupil personnel workers available to provide support and comfort to students, staff and family members. The Orange County Crisis team will also be available to offer assistance.

High school students are encouraged to seek support in the House A guidance suite. Students in all other Monroe-Woodbury buildings may seek support from their school counselor or other support staff. Families may also email [email protected] with any questions and concerns. Two additional resources that may provide assistance are:

It is always difficult to comprehend the loss of a young life. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the student’s family, friends and the entire M-W community.
