Reopening information from Superintendent Rodriguez – March 5, 2021

Monroe-Woodbury letterhead

March 5, 2021

Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

As I indicated in my letter earlier this week, the district is moving forward with plans to increase in-person learning to five days per week. On Monday, March 8, you will receive a questionnaire from building principals asking you to select either fully remote or in-person instruction for your child(ren) for the remainder of the year. Fully remote students will continue to receive live, synchronous instruction. Hybrid learning will no longer be an option once we proceed with this next phase.

The information we glean from your responses will help ensure this transition happens smoothly and safely and will guide organization of individual classrooms, cafeterias, transportation and other logistics.

If you have multiple students in various schools, you will receive a questionnaire from each building. Please complete one form per building. If you have multiple children in the same school, you will account for all children in one form.

It is imperative that each Monroe-Woodbury family complete the questionnaires by Monday, March 15.

The principals will be sharing more detailed information to help inform your decisions. We are very excited to proceed with the full reopening of all M-W schools.

Warm regards,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
