Sign-ups for summer facilities use by community groups underway

Beginning July 15, Monroe-Woodbury fields will be open for the months of July and August.  All field use requires a permit.  Permit  requests must be made via the online facility scheduler.  More details information regarding use of district facilities is available on the Use of Facilities page on the district website.

Please read the latest guidance from New York State regarding reopening for sports and recreation:

Important Reminders:

  • Monday-Friday:  Fields will be open 4 pm-8 pm. TURF fields (#1, #3 and #12) will ONLY be available from 4 pm-6 pm.
  • Saturday and Sunday:  Fields will be open 8am-6pm.  TURF fields will only be available for two sessions:  8:00-10:00 am and 10:15 am – 12:15 pm.
    Please note: There will be a 15 minute buffer between sessions so that two groups don’t overlap and have time to exit and enter the field. If you request the 10-12 slot, we will adjust the time accordingly.
  • Booster Club day camp requests will be considered if proper insurance and paperwork are submitted
  • All groups will be charged a fee of $15 per hour to cover costs of essential district personnel.  This pertains to fields at all district buildings.  This fee is in effect for the summer only and will be revisited in the fall.
  • Bathrooms will be open at the main turf field on the school side of the home bleachers.  These will be the only bathrooms available.
  • Please make sure you clean up and leave the space as you found it.
  • Entry / Exit point for Field #3 (main turf field) will be the single gate at the base of the hill from the high school.


  • No food, no seeds, no gum
  • Water only.  No other beverages are permitted
  • Chairs are not permitted on the turf
  • You may not use any equipment that penetrates the surface of the turf (staked corner flags, for example)
  • No metal spikes
  • Do not drag anything across the turf
  • Cleats MAY NOT be worn when crossing the track to enter Field #3

Representatives will notice a new clause in the electronic contract that refers to social distancing guidelines and safety precautions.  These precautions refer to the following:

  • Group leaders must monitor their members for COVID symptoms.  Participants or coaches who are not feeling well should not be on site
  • Parents and other spectators should not be on the field
  • Shared equipment should be avoided as much as possible
  • Social distancing should be adhered to whenever possible
  • Masks must be worn by coaches at all times.  Students should wear masks if social distancing is not possible.

District security patrols will be circulating to make sure there is no misuse or unpermitted use of facilities.  The security staff will be conducting spot checks and may ask for group’s permits and rosters. They will also be monitoring your adherence to current social distancing protocol.
