Student Council collecting supplies for soldiers

on February 22, 2019

On February 15, County Executive Steve Neuhaus shared an online video asking area residents to contribute some vital items, items that could give those risking their lives to protect us some added protection for their own health and safety, as well as providing some degree of comfort for the approximately 200 members of the armed forces from Orange County who are currently serving abroad.

The Middle School Student Council, in answer to Executive Neuhaus’s call to action, will be collecting these requested items from March 1-29. Please drop off donations in room 125.

Needed supplies include:

Baby wipes, eye drops, sunscreen, powdered Gatorade type juice mix, foot spray, deodorant, hand sanitizer, lip balm, disposable razors, Q-tips, travel size shampoo and hair conditioner, plus toothpaste, energy bars, nuts and seeds, cookies, gum, hard candies, dried fruit and crackers (no chocolate since it has the potential to melt). Other items requested include greeting cards and playing cards to help pass the long nights. “Thank you for your service” notes are always appreciated.
