Superintendent’s message to graduates: stay humble & kind

on July 5, 2018

There were many magical moments at the graduation ceremony for the Monroe-Woodbury Class of 2018. The campus looked amazing – in the shadow of the three buildings that have served as the district’s high school during its history – and Mother Nature cooperated in a big way! Smiles abounded and memories were made.

An extra special performance by North Main’s 5th Grade Select Chorus of Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind” left a lasting, powerful impression on all in attendance.  Their song served as a reminder to all of what truly matters most:

Hold the door, say please, say thank you
Don’t steal, don’t cheat, and don’t lie,
I know you got mountains to climb, but
Always stay humble and kind.
When the dreams you’re dreamin’ come to you,
When the work you put in is realized,
Let yourself feel the pride, but
Always stay humble and kind.
