Update on Pine Tree Water Testing

on July 14, 2021

Following the initial water testing completed at Pine Tree in February, a second series of tests was performed in April to determine whether further remediation was required. Those results were received last week. In February, 111 fixtures (sinks and drinking fountains) were identified as exceeding the action level of 15 micrograms of lead per liter. Retesting those fixtures identified 48 that will require additional remediation. The remaining fixtures all tested below the action level. The 48 action level fixtures will continue to be posted with signs indicating that they cannot be used for drinking while additional remediation options are evaluated.
