Dear Monroe-Woodbury families,

The Orange County Health Department has confirmed that one Monroe-Woodbury High School student (B Cohort) and one North Main student have tested positive for COVID-19. Neither student has been in school during their infectious period so no action needs to be taken.

One staff member from the transportation department has also tested positive for COVID-19. A number of Pine Tree and Smith Clove students may be at risk of exposure. District administrators are in the process of contacting families of students in the B or D cohorts. If you are not contacted within the next 24 hours, your child is not believed to be at risk of exposure.

It is important to note that this positive case is not reflected on the state dashboard because this particular staff member is not assigned to a school building.

Please reach out to your building principal with any questions.

Sincerely,

Elsie Rodriguez
Superintendent of Schools
