Happy Friday MWMS Crusaders!

We can’t believe that we are halfway through October already. This week’s version of our MWMS Updates can be viewed here.

A few important reminders as we approach the upcoming week:

Varsity Sporting Events:
Effective today, Friday, October 15, all middle school and elementary students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to gain entry into MWHS football games. Students under the age 14 who are not with a parent or guardian will not be allowed into the stadium. Please note that siblings of high school age are NOT an acceptable substitute for a parent or guardian.

Evening football games, in particular, draw large crowds. We are taking this precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, which remains the district’s highest priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

October Student Rec:
On October 29th, from 3:00 -5:00 pm.we will hold our first, and long awaited, Student Recreation event. This will be a Halloween themed event and students will be able to dress the part (no masks please). While the event will be held outdoors, we have limited space available. Students must sign up in advance and the registration form for this event will be sent out next week. For more details watch our middle school updates video.

Pictures are in!:
School pictures have been delivered to the middle school and we have had them distributed to our students. If you would like to have a retake our scheduled date is December 1st.

National School Bus Safety Week:
This coming week we celebrate National School Bus Safety Week. We can not emphasize enough that our drivers work hard to deliver our students safely both to and from school. It is important that our students are both safe and respectful on the bus. All students are required to wear a properly fitting face mask, stay in their assigned seats and not distract our drivers from their very important job.

Red Ribbon Week:
October 25th – October 29th we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week here at the middle school. Please look here to see what great things we have planned for the week.
