Principal update for parents & guardians

on June 15, 2020

Dear Pine Tree Families,

I hope this letter finds you healthy as we approach the end of the school year. School administrators and clerical staff are part of NYS Phase Two reopening. We will be back in our offices and we will make ourselves available during the months of July and August. We ask that parents or guardians who want to meet with us in person call the school to set up an appointment to safely meet. Guests will need to wear masks while visiting.

Report cards will be available on Friday, June 19 for parents and guardians to view electronically on Parent Portal. Special Education Progress Reports will be emailed to parents. Finally, other reports, such as band and orchestra reports, will be snail mailed to parents. Similar to last year, we will announce your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year on Parent Portal in mid August. An Email reminder to check parent portal will go out in mid August to remind parents.

The grade five drive through curbside moving up recognition will take place on Tuesday, June 16. Please see the grade five letter to know when your child’s classroom visit is scheduled to pick up yearbooks, class of 2027 T-Shirts, awards, and moving up certificates. Several teachers will be joining us throughout the day on Tuesday to greet and cheer on the students and families as they arrive.

Finally, the Pine Tree administration will be teaming up with our MW colleagues in preparing for September of 2020. It is our hope that we will all be back in the buildings, but we need to be prepared for a variety of directives from the NYS Governor. I wish each of you a happy and safe summer, richly deserved by all. We will be in touch throughout the summer leading into the new school year.

Sincerely,

Bryan Giudice
Principal
