All Monroe-Woodbury schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour delay schedule tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, due to icy road conditions and extremely low overnight temperatures. Monroe-Woodbury voters approve capital improvement project
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, district residents approved a $98 million capital improvement project by a vote of 878 yes votes to 290 no votes.
Thank you, M-W voters!

REMINDER: Today is the Capital Improvement Project vote from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Central Valley Elementary, 45 Route 32, Central Valley. Exercise your right to vote!🗳

As part of its annual awards program, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) recognizes Coach of the Year honorees from each state. For the 2022-2023 season, Monroe-Woodbury has two honorees: Christopher Goodwin, NYS Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year, and William Mpasiakos, NYS Girls Outdoor Track & Field Coach of the Year.
Winners are chosen through a combination of their coaching accomplishments, particularly for the season in question, as well as their contributions outside of competition to help grow their respective sports.
Congratulations to our hardworking coaches on this impressive recognition!

Q: How much would the project cost taxpayers?
A: The proposed $98 million proposal, which addresses the most critical infrastructure improvements in all seven school buildings and five non-instructional buildings, will have zero tax impact for our district residents.
The capital project would be paid for with no additional taxes due to further reductions in debt service, high levels of NYS building aid, and use of the District's capital reserve (savings for projects).
The capital project vote will take place on Dec. 5 from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at CVE. Learn more at https://www.mw.k12.ny.us/page/capital-improvement-program-december-2023

REMINDER: Please mark your calendars for early dismissals and school closings.✅

Did you know that improving our schools impacts your home’s property value?
Nearly 30% of home buyers list school quality as a deciding factor in their home purchase. As a homeowner, you’d like to know about all of the factors (internal and external) that impact your property value — and your school district is a big one.
