Some people pass through a place. Others make an impact that lasts forever. Lori Hock is someone who did both.

Lori’s Crusader journey began in kindergarten where she was a fresh face in the hallway, learning lessons and making new friends. Little did she know those same hallways would one day lead her back as a colleague, mentor, leader and an integral part of Monroe-Woodbury’s history.

For two decades, Lori has served in various positions throughout the district, while always willing to assist a fellow Crusader in need. Lori began her career in M-W as a Physical Education teacher. After many years in this role, she transitioned to Athletic Director, where she worked with staff and coaches to develop athletic programs that were recognized state-wide. She played an integral role in the capital project that resulted in the amazing athletic facilities students and community members enjoy today.

Next on her career path was Interim High School Principal which led to her position as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources–a role that demanded both professional skill and personal heart.

Operating with an open door policy, Lori helped shape a workplace culture rooted in respect and dedication to the community she has served for decades.

Thank you, Lori! Your legacy has left an indelible mark on this district. We wish you a retirement filled with joy, adventure and many sunny days out on the boat. This school community–including the dozens of cousins who attend M-WšŸ˜‚ā€“will miss your presence every day.

Once a Crusader, always a Crusader!
