Attentive, kind and supportive is how colleagues describe M-W’s most recent Crusader Cause for Applause recipient Cemile Onkaya, Kitchen Manager at Central Valley Elementary. Known for greeting students and staff with a smile, Cemile ensures all meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and with care, creating a positive experience for everyone.
Cemile’s commitment to the M-W community extends beyond food preparation. She is a familiar voice during morning announcements, where she shares vital nutritional insights with the school. By fostering a collaborative spirit, she leads her team with heart and ensures that student’s voices are reflected in the school’s creative menu choices.
