The Class of 2025 produced 22 Senior Art Majors who successfully defended their art portfolios, a final requirement for students seeking a Distinction in the Arts upon graduation. This rigorous process represents the culmination of four years of dedicated artistic development.

Each student's portfolio, developed over their Monroe-Woodbury High School career, is presented as part of an art show and in a formal defense before the MWHS art faculty. This defense provides a crucial opportunity for students to articulate their artistic vision, describe their creative process, and receive valuable feedback on their comprehensive body of work.

When asked about their favorite part of being an art major, students highlighted the friendships and inspiration they found along the way. They spoke about meeting artists with different perspectives, forming bonds with teachers and peers, and finding their own creative voices during the process.
