Kindergarten students at Sapphire Elementary recently enjoyed a very special event—the annual Reading Buddies program! With signs nearly as tall as they were, the young readers excitedly welcomed visiting students from MWHS.
High school students from the English department were paired with the younger Crusaders in small groups to read their chosen books aloud. As each page turned, stories were shared, confidence grew and laughter could be heard throughout the hallways. Connections were made that will last a lifetime!
