Dear Pine Tree Families,

I am excited to introduce your new principal, Mr. Robert German.

Mr. German brings with him a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to serving students, families and the broader community. He joins us from the Cornwall Central School District, where he has served as principal of Cornwall Elementary School since 2019. During his time there, he expanded family-school partnerships, implemented innovative curricula and nurtured a school culture grounded in compassion, respect and care. His prior experience also includes roles as principal, assistant principal and teacher in the New York City Public School System.

Mr. German is looking forward to connecting with students, staff and families, ensuring that Pine Tree continues to be a warm, supportive and thriving learning environment.

Please join me in giving Mr. German a heartfelt Monroe-Woodbury welcome. I look forward to the great things we will accomplish together in this new chapter for Pine Tree Elementary.

Warm regards,

Tracy Norman, Ed.D.

Dear Pine Tree Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal of Pine Tree Elementary School. I am truly honored to step into this role and become part of a school community that I’ve long admired—not only as an educator, but as a parent.

My family has lived in Monroe for the past 10 years, and both of my children attended Pine Tree. As a parent, I experienced firsthand the care, dedication, and sense of community that define this school. I have fond memories of fifth grade field day, the excitement of school dances, and the incredible stories I heard about the student post office—an experience that has always stood out to me as a symbol of student ownership and school pride.

As we prepare for a new school year, I’m excited to begin building relationships with students, families, and staff. I am committed to maintaining a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. Alongside our talented team of educators, I will work to uphold Pine Tree’s tradition of academic excellence while also fostering growth in character, independence, and community spirit.

To our students: I can’t wait to meet you! I hope your summer has been filled with fun, play, and discovery. We’re going to learn a lot, laugh a lot, and make great memories together this year.

As we begin this journey, please know that I welcome your ideas, questions, and partnership. I’m here to support your children and this community that I care so deeply about. I look forward to all we’ll accomplish together in the year ahead.

Enjoy the rest of your summer—I can’t wait to meet you soon!

Warmly,

Robert German
Principal
Pine Tree Elementary School
