WORLD READ ALOUD DAY will take place on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Similar to last year, Monroe-Woodbury will be participating in our classrooms, as well as encouraging students and family members to share their storytelling images from home via social media with the hashtag #mw2023wrad. Families may also email photos, including students' names, grades and schools, to communications@mw.k12.ny.us. For 13 years, WORLD READ ALOUD DAY has called attention to the importance of sharing stories by challenging participants to grab a book, find an audience, and read-aloud. We cannot wait to see what our M-W families are reading!

M-W schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25, due to the forecast for wintry weather conditions and hazardous travel. High School exam information was shared earlier with families via email and may also be found on the HS webpage. Stay warm and safe!

REMINDER: The proposed Capital Improvement Project Vote will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, December 6, from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Education Center, 278 Route 32, Central Valley, NY.

Sapphire’s UPK program hosted the first annual “Friendsgiving” breakfast. It has been such a joy to see our youngest learners celebrating with their family members. Special thanks to our incredible UPK team: Mrs. DiOrio, Mrs. Gardener, Mrs. Peifer, Mrs. Salerno, and Mrs. Rivera for making this event so magical! It is truly such a beautiful reminder of all we have to be grateful for.

As part of our preparation for the winter months, our buildings and grounds crew will be taking down the tennis nets on Thursday, November 10. Counting the days until spring!
