TEST OF DISTRICT EARLY MORNING MESSAGING SYSTEM AT 6:30 PM THIS EVENING, NOVEMBER 14. - Quick reminder: The district will test its Early Morning messaging system used in the event of a snow closing or early morning delayed opening. Based on your Parent Portal Early Morning Contact preferences, you will receive one or more: TEST email; TEST recorded phone call; and/or TEST SMS text message. Please note that the Early Morning messaging system is used only for weather-related school closings and delays, and actual messages may be sent as early as 4:30 am. As part of our preparation for the winter months, our buildings and grounds crew will be taking down the tennis nets on Thursday, November 10. Counting the days until spring!

Reminder: M-W schools and offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, in honor of Veterans Day. We thank all veterans for their service.

On October 12, local fire departments visited SC to teach students about fire safety. Students toured fire trucks and enjoyed a lunchtime chat with firefighters. We appreciate you!

SC Assistant Principal Chana Markiewicz, aka guest reader in the Enchanted Garden library, enjoyed reading "Dreamers" by Yuyi Morales to one of SC's bilingual classes. This true, uplifting story shares about the author's experience as an immigrant and how her connection with the library, and books, opened up the door to a new world. What a great way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! 📚💜

REMINDER: All M-W schools are closed on Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27. There will be no transportation for CTEC students. Happy New Year to families who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah. School resumes on Wednesday, September 28.

Power has been restored at Smith Clove Elementary. School will open on the 2 hour delay schedule at 10:30 a.m. Buses will pick up students approximately 2 hours later than their original schedule. Please be patient as our drivers work to get our students to school safely.
