M-W safely transports students

Each day, M-W buses transport 7,900 public and non-public school pupils. The fleet travels over 9,100 miles a day, transporting students to 50 schools in 4 counties. That’s over 1.6 million miles each year!  M-W uses the most efficient scheduling, the best trained drivers and mechanics and the safest and most energy efficient buses available.

M-W drivers are thoroughly trained in passenger safety and evaluated by DMV-certified inspectors regularly. To help prepare students to be safe passengers, the transportation department has prepared a Bus Safety Handbook.
