buses of the month graphic

Each month, the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District recognizes school buses where students demonstrate characteristics of a true Crusader: respect, compassion and good behavior. These buses represent a collaborative effort by students, drivers and attendants who work as a team to keep the bus safe. Nominations come directly from bus drivers.

Congratulations to March’s honorees!

Smith Clove Elementary/Central Valley Elementary School Bus #603
Driver: Kim Gulick

  • My Smith Clove K-1 children are so well behaved. They all use the seatbelts and follow the rules.
  • My Central Valley children are good at following bus rules. They are very respectful to me and each other. My crossers are great at watching for the signal.

Pine Tree Elementary Bus# 557
Driver: Dawn Elsaesser

They are a wonderful group of children and I love them all very much.

Pine Tree Elementary Bus #605
Driver: Liz Lynch

My students on my bus are so well behaved. They are respectful to one another as well as to the driver and attendant. They are all so thoughtful, kind, polite and just a pleasure to have on the bus. I have been a driver for 20 years and have to say that this is by far the best group of students I have ever had. I appreciate every one of them and compliment them often.

MWHS  Bus #594
Driver: Andrea Mikell

594 high school students are awesome! They are respectful, caring and kind to one another. The students do not challenge my corrections when they are corrected. They have learned to apologize when they are in the wrong. They have really grown since the year started.
