Due to the retirement of longtime Superintendent Elsie Rodriguez, the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education has embarked upon a nationwide search for a new Superintendent of Schools. Finding the right leader going forward is critical to the future of the District and is a task M-W Board members take very seriously. The new superintendent is expected to be appointed by the end of the current school year.

The Board of Education, in partnership with search firm District Wise Associates, will use various outreach tools to help more clearly define the qualifications and characteristics of the successful candidate. These include an online, anonymous community survey, meetings with members of the school community, and a public community forum at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 12, at Monroe-Woodbury High School.

Visit the Superintendent Search page, which provides more information for both potential candidates and community members wishing to share insights. Information will be updated as the  search progresses.
